GUIDO SOTOMAYOR RODAS ARTESANO ARTIST

Born in Quito, Ecuador.

In 1989 he was awarded a scholarship by the Central Bank of Ecuador to goldsmithing, wood carving, taracea and imagine of The Quiteña School Techniques at the School Bernardo de Legarda.

Applying techniques with pre-Columbian and Amazonian designs and employing non-traditional materials such as tagua seed, wood chonta, spigot shell, black coral, mother-of-pearl and seeds especially the Ecuadorian Amazon.
